MCBEE'S SALOON AND EATERY - ABOUT US
In 1996 Michael Kostick, from Minneapolis, purchased what used to be Hillcrest Resort in the thirties, the Crooked Oar in the sixties, Beachside in the eighties, and is now known as McBee’s Saloon & Eatery. Over the years the bar had not had much restoration to the building or property. In 1998, he began the complete restoration. The bar which was in the terrace –or “sheep shed”, was removed and put in the main hall turning the “sheepshed” back into a dining room overlooking Ann Lake along with a new outdoor deck. An addition was added onto the back for a new full line kitchen. Adding an island bar, along with many windows and a knotty pine interior has made McBee’s a great place today for full menu dinners, banquets, and even weddings. In addition, they have also brought back the resort atmosphere by remodeling and upgrading the cabins, adding additional docks, ice houses, and boats. The back view of Ann Lake is a wonderful sight while sitting on the back porch deck. If you want to have a good time, McBee's Saloon and Eatery is the place to do it !
